The social network allows users to video ten second increments on a mobile or tablet which they have now brought into sunglasses to which you can record up to 30 seconds at a time. Snapchats new hardware device also allows users to record videos which is stored and saved onto your mobile device so this means that people are able to leave their phone at home and they can rely on the spectacles instead. The company states that the spectacles will go on sale ‘soon,’ which is very vague don’t you think? Also the network explains that the glasses are going to be produced in ‘small quantities,’ furthermore, from the information Snapchat is giving, we can start to answer some of the basic questions.

Snapchat Spectacles are available in three colours, Coral, black and Teal and they are only available in one size. The Spectacle lens has a certain 115 degree angle which in fact is closest to the human eye’s natural view. We are able to investigate the look of the spectacles and its purpose, so the spectacles are circular because they are meant for the purpose of mimicking the way the human eye sees. When you watch your videos back on your device, the user has a choice to view it either landscape or portrait. However, these amazing spectacles come with a price of $130 and £100 so do you think that this product might target a certain group of people or will the price effect the sale of the hardware? Snapchat are saying that you can get about a day out of your spectacles, and on the glasses, the indication of low battery is an outward-facing light to which you can double tap it to see how much battery power you have left. The Snapchat Spectacles come with a charging case and cable, and Snapchat says that when they are fully charged, the case can recharge your spectacles up to four times.
