The second season of Narcos hit Netflix last Friday which revealed the fate of drug kingpin Pablo Escobar.
Yesterday, much to the surprise of many fans, Netflix confirmed the renewal of the show for at least another two more seasons. Fans expected the previous season of Narcos to be the last, due to Escobar’s death at the end of the second season.
José Padilha and Eric Newman will stay on as the show producers with the third season confirmed to air sometime next year. “This show has always been about cocaine,” Eric Newman told Entertainment Weekly.
The third season is set to focus on the Cali Cartel as they are set to take over as the biggest Cocaine drug distributors after Escobar’s death.
