FIFA Ultimate Team is a game mode where player collect the cards of the footballers that they want in their team. When a footballer performs well in real life, they have a chance of featuring in the Team of the Week on Ultimate Team. This will bring out an upgraded card for the player which will cost the players more Ultimate Team coins to buy.
Players have spent real money on this game mode in order to have a chance of getting these upgraded players, but the upgrades perform worse than the original day-one cards. Even transferred players with exactly the same stats will perform worse than the original. Fans of the game are furious.

EA do seem concerned about this news. “Thanks to the FUT community for raising awareness of a potential fitness and chemistry inconsistency in some FUT items. Last FIFA, EA Sports brought in trading restrictions to stop cheating in the game. In reality, for the past 8 years, the whole FIFA community has been cheated.
