With a new trilogy of Fast and Furious on the way, there are also talks of a spin-off movie focussed on Hobbs who is played by Dwayne Johnson. Vin Diesel is the man that has pushed for one last Fast and Furious trilogy and has also said that he would like to see potential spin-off movies. Consulting producer of the last film, Hiram Garcia, has said that talks are under discussion for a potential Hobbs spin off film.

Since Hobbs’ introduction into the Fast and Furious franchise in 2011, he has become one of the main characters in the films. Although one of the main characters, Hobbs isn’t part of the crew living outside the law. Hobbs is an FBI agent. This would show a completely different side to the Fast and Furious franchise that we know, it would make more of a change than Tokyo Drift.
The film has not been confirmed yet and is just currently in discussions, we may be waiting a while for this one. Fast and Furious 8 is scheduled for release in 2017 so it isn’t long until we will have some Fast and Furious action on the big screen.
