Whenever children go to see a movie with a superhero in they immediately think ‘imagine I could do that’ and they look at all the pros of being a superhero. Unfortunately for them they can’t get these superhero powers and also would they really want to after hearing the cons of some of the superheroes that they love the most.
Firstly, Batman, Superman and Spiderman are all orphans. I don’t know about you but it can’t be great growing up without parents no matter what abilities you have. Everyone focusing on the abilities of these characters completely forget about the fact that they grew up without parents. This definitely would change some people’s views on wanting to be one of these superheroes
Secondly these heroes have to mask their identities, they can’t let anyone know who they are. This impacts on their lives massively as they have to be very secretive and it means that their friendship group isn’t as big as they may want it to be. Living with a big secret would be hard to keep from friends so it’s best that they have few. Would you really want to be a superhero if it meant that you could only have a couple of friends? This is another major thing that people forget when they watch films like this.
Although they do have these major drawbacks they still have super powers which is still very desirable. Everyone dreams about being able to fly or having super strength and saving the world but the cons are pretty significant on whether you still think that being one of these heroes would be great although they do get a lot of recognition from the public for what they do, saving lives and all.
Personally I wouldn’t want to be one of these superheroes because of the cons, would you still want to be one of these three superheroes?
