Much-loved American actor Gene Wilder sadly died at his home in Connecticut on Monday, aged 83. Wilder is most known for playing Willy Wonka in Roald Dahl’s Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory.
On Monday night, Coldplay played at the Pepsi Center in Denver to a sell-out crowd as part of the band’s A Head Full of Dreams Tour. Coldplay paid a touching tribute to Wilder during their performance by singing a short section of ‘Pure Imagination’ from Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.
