Google have announced their brand new smartphone, Pixel. The Pixel is 5 inches and the XL that is 5.5 inches and the aluminium and glass body phones come in three different colour options including black, silver and blue. Unlike devices for example Apple, the Pixel has a fingerprint sensor on the back of the phone and Google have claimed that they have the best cameras that have ever been put in a smartphone, I think this means slight competition!

The Pixel smartphone includes so many great features which include: Free unlimited storage for photos and videos at original quality with Google photos. Quick charging – up to seven hours of power with 15 minutes of charging. The video stabilisation looks as though it can smooth out substantial hand shaking etc… There are so many more exciting features!

The Pixel will start at $649 and pre-orders have already gone out to the US, Australia, Canada, Germany and the UK and pre-orders to India will go out on October 13th.

So, what do you think of the new google Pixel smartphones?

Daydream view allows you to slot in the Pixel and enjoy a visual reality experience. The product has a soft fabric covering and comes with a remote packed with motion-control sensors for playing games or navigating menus. So lets read more into it

Google explains that Daydream view has a ‘different take’ on visual reality headsets as the material allows comfort, it is easy to keep on and it is breathable as Google have also said that the Daydream view is not ‘inspired by gadgets.’ As well as this, the device is said to be simple to uses – it has a set of lenses that holds the phone. Below the text is an image to show where you would put the phone…

There are two buttons on the outside and motion sensors on the inside. The company explains that the remote control can be used for a ‘variety of things’ and it is a smart simple controller to steer the action and when you are not using the remote there is a place to store it.

The Google home is a WiFi speaker that will work as a digital helper and it has been designed to allow users to connect appliances, control music streaming and find out basic information for example the weather. The surprise hit will cost $129 and is available to preorder, furthermore, Home is scheduled to ship in November.

The trigger phrase to which you can use is “OK Google” and once you have done this, you can ask the Home what song you would like to listen to for example. If you would like to alter the sound or change the song, you can use your voice to control this. Do you sometimes hear a song on a film for example, but you do not know what the song is called? Well, Google have been extremely smart with the music control, if you do not remember the name of the song you can general question for Home to identify what you are asking. An example of a question about the mystery song would be, “Play the 21 pilots song from Suicide Squad” and the Home will register that.

Even though Amazon’s Alexa and Apple’s Siri allows third party partners, it’s limited to specific categories for example payments and messaging. Unlike Google Home, you can call for an Uber and have a conversation with Assistant about the location of where you would like to go and what kind of car you would like. Google has paired with a lot of companies to create third party options for example, you are not limited to just listen to YouTube, you can listen to apps like Spotify.

The Google Home is available in two materials, fabric and metal to which it comes in many colours.

So what do you think?

How much do people depend on WiFi? Well….as a fact, more than ever!

Google have launched a new connected system for fast WiFi throughout your home. The subtle, small design is fitted to be able to go anywhere in your home and as it is small it stays out of the way and it can be stored wherever the user wants.

So to begin, how does it work and how is it different to any other WiFi router?

The Google WiFi points work together to cover each area that your whole home is covered in WiFi. Furthermore, unlike other routers, they are normally located in one area so the WiFi may perhaps be stronger in different areas, so this means you can access super fast WiFi. Google have made an extra, smart step to expand the precision of Google WiFi as they have designed an app to control the use, for example, you can see where your WiFi points are located, you can see how many devices are connected and you can even turn your WiFi on or off when you do not need it, this is great for family time. Here is more information about the product:

Google WiFi will be available to preorder in the US in November and will cost $129 which is roughly £100.

A WiFi that you can easily control, small, subtle and perhaps a must-have!

Your device, whether it is mobile, tablet etc…, is the remote as you can play, pause, adjust the volume and you are able to multitask which means you can take calls or send messages without stopping or pausing what’s playing. You’re not limited to one or two apps there are loads! You can stream a film or program on Netflix, listen to music on apps like Spotify or Deezer or catch up on the football on BT sport.
